About the Opportunity

An established and growing roofing contractor is seeking an experienced Roofing Superintendent to oversee commercial roofing projects throughout the Greater Sacramento region. This is a high-impact leadership role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced construction environment and enjoys managing field operations, developing crews, and delivering projects safely, on time, and within budget.

The ideal candidate has a strong background managing commercial roofing installations, re-roofs, maintenance projects, and field personnel while maintaining exceptional safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead field operations for multiple roofing projects simultaneously.
• Manage foremen, subcontractors, and field crews to ensure productivity, workmanship, and safety.
• Coordinate labor, equipment, material deliveries, and project schedules.
• Conduct daily jobsite inspections and oversee quality control throughout all phases of construction.
• Ensure projects comply with OSHA requirements, manufacturer specifications, and company safety standards.
• Maintain project schedules and proactively identify potential delays or challenges.
• Participate in pre-construction meetings, owner meetings, and coordination with general contractors.
• Review plans, specifications, submittals, and scopes of work.
• Track daily reports, manpower, production rates, and progress updates.Manage punch-list completion, final inspections, and project closeout activities.
• Foster strong relationships with clients, vendors, consultants, and project stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Roofing Superintendent, General Superintendent, or Senior Foreman.
• Proven experience overseeing commercial roofing projects.
• Strong knowledge of roofing systems including:
  • TPO
  • PVC
  • EPDM
  • Modified Bitumen
  • Built-Up Roofing (BUR)
  • Metal Roofing Systems
• Familiarity with OSHA regulations and jobsite safety requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Experience using construction management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, or similar platforms preferred.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
