Gilder Search Group in Baltimore seeks a Commercial Roofing Production Superintendent to oversee commercial roofing installations across the Baltimore market.

You will lead on-site crews, coordinate schedules, ensure safety and quality, and work with customers and project managers to keep projects on time and within budget.

This full-time role offers a salary in the $90k–$100k range with bonuses, a company vehicle, and benefits.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial roofing installation experience.
• Experience supervising roofing crews or commercial roofing projects.
• Knowledge of commercial roofing systems and manufacturers (TPO, PVC, EPDM, Modified Bitumen, BUR, Metal).
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specs, and construction documents.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Oversee commercial roofing projects from mobilization through completion.
• Coordinate daily project activities and supervise roofing crews and subcontractors.
• Manage production schedules and ensure projects stay on track.
• Read blueprints, specifications, and project documents for new and reroof projects.
• Communicate with customers, project managers, and internal teams regarding progress and field conditions.
• Verify material deliveries, equipment, and jobsite inventory.
• Monitor workmanship and perform quality-control inspections.
• Enforce OSHA safety policies and lead toolbox talks.
• Identify and resolve field issues affecting schedule, budget, or quality.
• Complete project documentation and closeout paperwork.
• Assist with final inspections and project turnover.
• Travel to project locations as required.

About the Opportunity

An established commercial roofing contractor is seeking an experienced Commercial Roofing Production Superintendent to oversee commercial roofing installations throughout the Baltimore market and surrounding areas.

This position is responsible for providing on-site leadership, supervising crews and subcontractors, maintaining safety and quality standards, and ensuring projects are completed on schedule and within budget.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial roofing installation, solid field leadership experience, and knowledge of multiple roofing systems and manufacturers.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee commercial roofing projects from mobilization through completion.
• Coordinate daily project activities and supervise roofing crews and subcontractors.
• Manage production schedules and ensure projects remain on track.
• Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and project documents for new construction and reroof projects.
• Communicate regularly with customers, project managers, and internal teams regarding project progress, scheduling, and field conditions.
• Verify material deliveries, equipment, and jobsite inventory.

• Previous experience supervising roofing crews or commercial roofing projects
• Strong knowledge of commercial roofing systems and manufacturers
• Experience with systems such as:
  • TPO
  • PVC
  • EPDM
  • Modified Bitumen
  • Built-Up Roofing
  • Metal Roofing
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents
• Strong understanding of commercial roofing installation methods and industry best practices
• Ability to manage crews, subcontractors, schedules, and multiple jobsite priorities
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office
• Valid driver's license and insurable driving record
• Ability and willingness to travel as required
