Job summary

GPAC seeks a Commercial Roofing Superintendent to lead on-site field execution for on-site commercial roofing projects in Dallas. You will manage crews, enforce safety standards, and ensure quality while coordinating schedules with project managers and estimators.

The role emphasizes hands-on supervision, travel between active jobsites, and a focus on delivering projects on time and within specification. A strong roofing background and leadership experience are essential.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of commercial roofing experience with 5+ years in supervisory or superintendent roles.
• Expert knowledge of TPO, PVC, EPDM, Modified Bitumen, Built-Up Roofing, coatings and metal roofing.
• Ability to read blueprints, specifications, and construction documents.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel between jobsites.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee multiple commercial roofing crews on new construction and re-roofing projects.
• Assign foremen and crews based on skills, workload and project requirements.
• Set daily and weekly production goals and verify productivity and quality outcomes.
• Conduct frequent jobsite inspections to ensure work meets plans and manufacturer requirements.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Estimators, and the General Manager on schedules, budgets, and field execution.
• Manage material flow, tools, equipment, and subcontractor coordination.
• Mentor foremen and crew leaders on leadership, safety, and installation standards.
• Be available for emergency field or customer issues as needed.

About The Commercial Roofing Superintendent Role

This is a hands‑on superintendent role, not an office‑only position. The successful candidate will be deeply involved in field execution, crew leadership, safety, scheduling, and quality control. On site management of crews on both re‑roofing and new construction commercial roofing production projects.

What You Will Do

Production & Field Leadership

• Oversee multiple commercial roofing crews performing new construction and re‑roofing projects.
• Assign foremen and crews based on skills, workload, and project requirements.
• Set daily and weekly production goals and verify productivity and quality outcomes.
• Conduct frequent jobsite inspections to ensure work meets plans, specifications, and manufacturer requirements.

Safety & Quality Management

• Enforce company safety policies and OSHA standards across all jobsites.
• Lead job hazard analyses, safety coaching, and PPE compliance.
• Perform quality inspections, punch lists, and warranty‑related reviews.

Project Coordination

• Coordinate closely with Project Managers, Estimators, and the General Manager on schedules, budgets, and field execution.
• Manage material flow, tools, equipment, and subcontractor coordination.
• Participate in project start‑up, progress, and closeout meetings.
• Serve as a point of contact for customers, general contractors, and vendors as needed.
• Be available for emergency field or customer issues when required.

Team Development

• Mentor foremen and crew leaders on leadership, safety, and technical installation standards.
• Support employee evaluations, training needs, and certification tracking.
• Build accountability, consistency, and professionalism across field teams.

Required Experience & Qualifications For Commercial Roof Superintendent

• 10+ years of commercial roofing experience, with 5+ years in a supervisory or superintendent role.
• Strong expertise in commercial systems: TPO, PVC, EPDM, Modified Bitumen, Built‑Up Roofing, Coatings, Metal Roofing.
• Working knowledge of sheet metal systems (coping, gravel stop, gutters, downspouts, standing seam).
• Ability to read blueprints, specifications, and construction documents.
• Experience coordinating labor, materials, and equipment across multiple active jobs.
• OSHA 10 or 30 required (OSHA 30 strongly preferred).
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel between jobsites.
• Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred.
