Job summary

Saint-Gobain Group seeks a Production Manager to lead the Ennis, Texas roofing manufacturing facility, directing production supervisors and crews to deliver safe, high-quality products efficiently. You will set schedules, drive performance, and coordinate with Maintenance and Engineering while ensuring OSHA-compliant safety and waste management practices.

Preferred candidates hold a four-year degree and have 5+ years of supervisory experience in manufacturing, with strong Lean and 5S knowledge.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of supervisory/leadership experience.
• Commitment to safe work behaviors and ability to understand machine operations.
• Computer literacy and knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and 5S principles.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, listening, and organizational skills.
• Ability to analyze information, evaluate results, select appropriate solutions, and solve problems.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team.
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic math.
• Working knowledge of production operations, practices, and procedures.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to develop, motivate, coach, and direct employees.
• Ability to work a day shift, including weekends, on a rotating or fixed schedule.
• Ability to work an average of 40 hours per week.
• Ability to travel approximately 10% for training.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct production activities to meet safety, quality, cost, throughput, and process requirements.
• Establish and coordinate work schedules, assignments, and production requirements.
• Monitor production performance and assist with troubleshooting.
• Maintain knowledge of manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Communicate production requirements and performance updates to the Operations Manager.
• Collaborate as part of the plant's second-level operations management team.
• Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety requirements.
• Report injuries, incidents, and near misses, and participate in investigations.
• Support development and review of job safety analyses and standard operating procedures.
• Promote continuous improvement and safe work practices.
