Flynn Group of Companies in Minneapolis, MN is hiring for a Roofer- Commercial Roofing Apprentice, Journeyman level. The role offers union pay of $28.74–$44.69 per hour with various benefits and opportunities for career growth.

As a Roofing Foreman through Local No. 96, you will work with a crew to waterproof and install commercial roofing systems such as TPO, EPDM, PVC, and others, traveling to job sites as needed. This is a hands-on union position with focus on safety and quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience with various commercial roofing systems (TPO, EPDM, Built-up).
• Able to install roofing components: insulation, membrane layout, wrapping corners, pipes, etc.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. (visa sponsorship not available).

Responsibilities

• Install commercial roofing systems (fully-adhered and mechanically fastened) including TPO, PVC, EPDM.
• Prepare deck, lay out membrane, install insulation, pipe boots, and other roofing components.
• Follow safety rules, attend safety classes, use fall protection and PPE.
• Travel to various jobsites (most near Salt Lake area) and assist in shop or other departments as needed.

Job Summary: Work collaboratively as a crew to properly waterproof and install various roofing components. Install, repair, or replace single-ply commercial roofing systems, including: TPO, EPDM, PVC, and others.

Daily Responsibilities

• Install commercial roofing systems, including fully-adhered and mechanically fastened applications (TPO, PVC, EPDM etc.)
• Prepare deck, lay out membrane, install insulation, pipe boots, and other roofing components
• Follow all safety rules and procedures, participate in safety classes and certifications as required
• Use fall protection equipment and wear PPE to work safely from heights
• Travel and work at various jobsites as needed (most are near the Salt Lake area)
• Assist in the shop or in other departments as needed

Requirements & Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience with various commercial roofing systems: TPO, EPDM, Built-up, and/or others.
• Able to install most roofing components: insulation, lay out membrane, wrap corners, pipes, etc.
• Has reliable transportation/own motor vehicle
• Ability to learn and follow safety policies and standards
• Willingness to travel and work overtime as needed
• Able to pass a background check and work on federal job sites
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. (this position is not eligible for visa sponsorship)
