Job summary

Flynn Group of Companies in Salt Lake City, UT is seeking a Roofing Service Foreman to lead preventative maintenance, diagnose leaks, and oversee high-quality roof repairs. You will supervise a small crew, train teammates, and communicate clearly with clients while prioritizing safety and efficiency.

This full-time role requires 4+ years of commercial roofing experience, valid driver's license, and the ability to pass DOT physical and background checks.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of commercial roofing experience.
• Experience installing/repairing TPO, EPDM, PVC and other flat roofing systems.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to pass a DOT physical, drug screen and background check.
• Strong leadership, delegation and team-training skills.
• Comfortable using mobile apps to document work and report progress.
• Willing to participate in on-call duties as required.

Responsibilities

• Complete repairs and maintenance of various commercial roofing systems.
• Investigate and identify leaks, inspect damage and determine repair approach.
• Communicate professionally with clients and provide informed recommendations.
• Lead, train and delegate tasks to a 1–2 tech crew.
• Respond to emergency leaks (on-call 1 week per month; additional compensation).
• Use our mobile app to record, document, and report jobs completed.

Job Summary: As a Roofing Service Foreman, you’ll lead preventative maintenance, damage assessments, leak detection, and high‑quality roof repairs. You’ll oversee project completion, train and support your crew, and provide informed recommendations to clients while maintaining a strong focus on safety and efficiency.

Daily Responsibilities

• Complete repairs and maintenance of various commercial roofing systems


• Investigate and identify roof leaks, inspecting damage, determine the correct repair process


• Professional communication with clients and providing recommendations


• Day-to-day work also includes general maintenance: debris/snow removal, tearing out old roof material, cleaning gutters, etc.


• Use our mobile app to record, document, and report jobs completed


• Respond to emergency leaks (usually on‑call 1 week per month)


• You will lead, train, and delegate tasks to your team (1-2 techs)


• 24/7 On-call availability (usually 1-2 weeks per month, additional compensation is given)

What you Bring

• 4+ years of commercial roofing experience


• Experience installing and repairing TPO, EPDM, PVC, and other flat roofing systems


• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (no DUIs within the last 5 years)


• Able to pass a DOT physical, drug screen, and background check


• Skilled at identifying roofing issues such as leaks, tears, and drainage problems


• Knowledge of roofing materials, tools, and equipment


• Strong leadership leadership skills- delegating, time management, and can provide training


• Comfortable using mobile apps and technology to document work and complete reports
