August Roofing Inc. is seeking a Full-Time Roofing Apprentice in the Oxnard/Ventura area. No experience is required; we will train you for a rewarding career in roofing.

With 30+ years of experience, ARI emphasizes safety, customer satisfaction, and professionalism. You will learn to install shingles/tiles and work toward becoming a Junior Roofing Foreman within 2–3 years, with a clear career road map and on-the-job training.

Qualifications

• No experience required; training provided.
• Career path: apprentice to Junior Roofing Foreman in 2–3 years.
• Must be comfortable working at heights and outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Prepare job sites for roofing, solar, or gutter installation.
• Follow safety instructions and guidelines.
• Inspect roofs for damage and perform basic repairs.
• Measure, cut, and install metal work; install underlayment and edge flashings.
• Assist with roofing, solar, and gutter installation as part of the crew.

The roofer is responsible for installing tiles or shingles for roofs and ensure that building structures meet build orders specifications and are constructed error-free. Job Responsibilities (Training Provided)

• Properly prepare job site for roofing, solar, or gutter installation or repair.
• Follow all safety instructions and guidelines.
• Able to remove all shingles/tile and nails. Develop strong teamwork working on tearing off crew and collection/dumping crew.
• Able to safely operate and/or support vehicle movement and dumpster delivery for forklifts, trailers, and trucks.
• Inspects existing roof surfaces for dry rot or damaged plywood and conduct basic wood repair/replacement.
• Measure, cut, and properly install all metal work. This includes drip edges, rake edge flashings, valleys, and pipe flashings. Install and fasten underlayment across the entire roof.
• Support with basic roofing, solar and gutter instillation. This will include nailing tiles, feeding shingles and lying flat roof materials.

Key Requirements:

• Construction, labor, landscaping experience is helpful but not required.
• Valid CA Driver's License with a clear driving record (MVR) is strongly preferred.
• The nature of the work requires performance ofheavy work such as lifting, carrying, and moving tools, equipment and supplies weighing up to 110 pounds for distances up to 100 feet; constant bending, reaching, pulling, climbing, balancing, and squatting is included.
• MUST be comfortable working at considerable heightsand pitches often inadverse weather conditions.
