Job summary
August Roofing is seeking a Full-Time Roofing Apprentice in Oxnard or Ventura area. No experience required; we train motivated people to build a career in roofing. The role offers on-the-job training, a clear career path, and opportunities to advance to a Junior Foreman with a crew within 2–3 years.
Responsibilities include site prep, safety, roofing tasks, and basic metal work. Strong teamwork and a positive attitude are valued; Heights and outdoor work are involved.
Qualifications
- No experience required; on-the-job training provided.
- Valid CA driver’s license preferred.
- Willingness to work outdoors and heights.
Responsibilities
- Prepare job site for roofing, solar, or gutter installation or repair.
- Follow all safety instructions and guidelines.
- Remove shingles/tiles and manage crews; assist with material handling.
- Safely operate and support vehicle movement and dumpster delivery.
- Inspect roof surfaces for damage and perform basic repairs.
- Measure, cut, and install metal work; install underlayment across the roof.
- Assist with roofing, solar, and gutter installation as needed.
