Job summary

August Roofing and Solar is seeking a full-time Roofing Team Lead / Roofing Foreman at our Ventura County, CA location. The role includes managing installs, repairs, and reroofs, leading the crew, and ensuring customer satisfaction. We offer comprehensive benefits and year-round work.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of roofing experience, 2+ years in a lead role, a valid CA driver’s license, and is capable of lifting heavy loads and working at heights. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years roofing experience with various materials.
• 2+ years lead/foreman experience.
• Valid CA driver’s license with clean MVR.
• Able to lift 110 pounds and work at heights.

Responsibilities

• Manage installs, repairs and reroofs, replacing broken materials and removing old cap sheet.
• Lead job-site organization and assign tasks for roofing tear off, repair, reroof, or installation; focus on customer satisfaction and work quality.
• Oversee Roofer Development program, cross-training installation functions and safety procedures.
• Ensure OSHA safety guidelines are followed and address safety issues on site.
• Drive company vehicles to job sites and operate equipment safely.

Job Responsibilities

• Must be able to manage Installs, repairs and reroofs a variety of roofs by replacing broken slate, tile or shingle, applying additional layers of cap sheet over a built-up roof and removing old cap sheet/felt.
• Lead organization of job site and help assign tasks for roofing tear off, roof repair, reroof, or installation. Focus on customer satisfaction, roofing materials/budgets, and work quality.
• Team Development Oversee the ongoing training in the Roofer Development program, including cross-training a variety of installation functions, safety procedures, tool handling practices, and August Roofing Standard Operating Procedures.
• Ensure all crew members follow OSHA safety guidelines. Identify and correct any safety related issues that arise on a job site.
• Drive company vehicles to work site and/or to pick up and transport equipment and supplies. Assemble, operates, and maintain equipment in a safe and proper manner such as hoists, forklifts, ladders, brackets, planks and fall protection.

Key Requirements

• Minimum of 3-5 years of roofing experience with multiple types of roofing materials including asphalt shingles and tiles (preferably residential)
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a roofing foreman or roofing lead managing teams and projects
• The position requires a valid CA Drivers License with a clear driving record (MVR)
• The nature of the work requires performance of heavy work such as lifting, carrying, and moving tools, equipment and supplies weighing up to 110 pounds for distances up to 100 feet; constant bending, reaching, pulling, climbing, balancing, and squatting atconsiderable heightsand pitches often inadverse weather conditions.
