Job summary

SAM Construction Group in Paradise Valley, AZ is hiring a Roofing Installer to support our commercial and residential projects. You will install membrane roofing (TPO), waterproofing, and sheetmetal components on new construction sites.

Applicants should have 3+ years in roofing or related construction, reliable transportation, and the ability to read blueprints. We offer health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, paid vacation, and other benefits.

• Experience with new construction projects preferred.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints or construction documents.

Responsibilities

• Install membrane roofing (TPO) for new commercial construction.
• Perform single ply roofing installation and waterproofing.
• Carry out sheetmetal installation and related tasks.
• Oversee material and equipment scheduling.
• Ensure quality of workmanship and safety at all times.

SAM Construction Group is a fully integrated Developer/Builder of apartment communities and luxury homes.

Location: Paradise Valley, Arizona

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Membrane roofing installation (TPO) installation for new commercial construction.
• Single Ply Roofing Installation
• Waterproofing Installation
• Sheetmetal Installation
• Perform maintenance and repair work on existing residential properties.
• Oversee scheduling of roofing material and equipment.
• Read and understand blueprints and construction documents.
• Ensure quality of work.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• 3+ Years of Experience
• New Construction
• Reliable transportation

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to handle physical labor and strenuous tasks.
• Able to stand and walk project site for extended period of times.
• Regularly talk and/or hear.
• Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel.
• Occasionally required to but not limited to reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop kneel, crouch, and/or crawl.
• Must be able to ascend and descend ladders, scaffolds, stairs and work in confined spaces and in proximity to loud equipment.
• Must be able to position one-self to work in confined spaces such as trenches, pits, manholes, attics and tunnels.
• Must be able to lift and carry or otherwise move at least 50 pounds regularly/occasionally
• Must be able to respond quickly to sounds.
• Must be able to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces.
• Must be able to see and respond to dangerous situations.
• Must be able to safely climb ladders while carrying up to 40 pounds.
• Must be able to wear personal protective gear most of the day.
• Must be able to work in hot and cold environments and on concrete floors.
