Job summary

HTC Global Services seeks a Product Engineer – Roof Mechanisms to design and validate roof systems for vehicles. You will lead suppliers, guide component design, and drive cost/weight reductions across development and production.

Responsibilities include managing packaging, NVH, water management, safety, and cross-functional reviews, with travel to supplier and NA plant sites as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years in design, development, or launch of automotive mechanisms.
• Experience with manufacturing considerations, metrology, quality and costing.
• Ability to create drawings and 3D data with GD&T and tolerance analysis.
• CAD capable (CATIA, 3DX, Teamcenter) and CAE familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, validate, release and implement roof mechanism systems for vehicles.
• Lead suppliers and guide design of roof mechanism components.
• Drive design improvements to enhance quality and reduce cost/weight.
• Manage attributes such as packaging, NVH, water management, and crash safety.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure robust vehicle-level system interfaces.
• Prepare technical presentations for reviews and sign-offs.
• Perform analyses including GD&T stackups, CAE and dynamic simulations.
