You will read architectural plans, design with MiTek software, verify accuracy, specify hardware, maintain tracking sheets, and prepare customer approvals.

Collaborate with customers, sales teams, and operations to resolve issues, ensure documentation is complete, and help production teams deliver

Qualifications

• Read and interpret architectural and structural plans to develop truss layouts.
• Ensure designs are accurate, optimized, and compliant with policies and codes.
• Ability to interpret plans and specifications for accurate truss packages.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret architectural and structural plans to develop accurate roof and floor truss placement layouts.
• Design roof and floor trusses in MiTek design software and estimate systems.
• Review designs for accuracy, constructability, material optimization, and compliance with standards.
• Specify all required hardware, accessories, and materials for the truss package.
• Maintain accurate Job Tracking Sheets throughout estimating and design.
• Prepare and send customer approval letters and documentation.
• Communicate with customers, sales teams, and internal operations to address questions and resolve design issues.
• Identify potential design or production issues and inform the team.
• Log and organize all plans, drawings, and revisions.
• Participate in meetings, training, and duties as assigned.
• Perform other duties as needed.
