Job summary

84 Lumber Company in Kings Mountain, NC is seeking an entry-level Truss Builder to assemble roof and floor trusses using pre-cut lumber and metal plates. No prior experience required; you will read blueprints, measure and cut materials, and operate hand and power tools to meet specifications.

This role offers two shifts with pay starting at $15 for the first shift and $17 for the second shift, plus potential increases and full benefits after 60 consecutive days.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret blueprints or work orders.
• Able to lift up to 80 pounds and stand for long periods.
• No prior experience required; on-the-job training provided.

Responsibilities

• Assemble roof and floor trusses using pre-cut lumber and metal connector plates.
• Read blueprints or work orders to guide construction.
• Operate saws, nail guns, and other hand/power tools safely.
• Ensure trusses meet quality standards and specifications.
• Work in a fast-paced production environment to meet daily quotas.
