Job summary

Hitachi Rail USA is seeking a Project Manager - Rolling Stock to lead North American vehicle projects from its Hagerstown, MD base. You will work with the Head of Program Management to ensure onshore delivery, with occasional remote work and travel to plants in Italy and customer locations.

The role requires a Mechanical or Electrical Engineering background, PMP or equivalent, and at least 5 years in program management or planning. Expect a collaborative, matrix environment and 30% travel.

Qualifications

• Graduate in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical background.
• PMP certification or able to obtain within twelve months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Ensure on-time, on-budget, and on-quality delivery of the project.
• Maintain invoicing plan aligned with budget and forecast.
• Manage client interface and relationships.
• Prepare monthly progress reports and KPI tracking.
• Lead risk management and handle change orders.
