Hitachi Rail in the United States is seeking a Senior Mechanical Integration Engineer based in Hagerstown, Maryland, to drive the integration of rolling stock systems from concept through manufacturing. Qualifications

8+ years of experience in Mechanical Integration engineering.
Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Proficient with 3D CAD tools (Creo, CATIA, Autodesk).
Experience coaching and reviewing work within a team.
Strong collaboration across disciplines and self-management.

Responsibilities

Carry out 3D mechanical integration analysis across train components and report findings.
Lead development and integration of mechanical systems with suppliers and co-design activities.
Manage full train digital mock-up in 3D CAD environments.
Develop and oversee tolerance stack-up analyses for system integration.
Produce full train assembly drawings to support manufacturing.
Design mechanical components such as frames, brackets, and supporting structures.
Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure engineering excellence.
Coach and review team members to maintain quality and consistency.
