Gerdau North America is hiring a Manufacturing Associate for the Rolling Mill in Charlotte, NC. Starting pay $23.70 per hour with bonus opportunities and a raise after training to $24.70; estimated annual earnings between $68,300 and $78,000.

Day-one benefits are provided and you’ll work on a 12-hour rotating schedule including days, nights, and some weekends. You will support material flow, operate cranes and forklifts, perform routine maintenance, and help finishing crew with straightening,

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1-3 years of industrial or manufacturing experience operating an overhead crane and forklift.
• Ability to work a 12-hour rotating Dupont schedule including days, nights, and two weekends a month.
• Basic computer skills and basic math skills required.

Aufgaben

• Facilitate and manage material flow through the rolling mill finishing department.
• Operate overhead crane and forklift to move and stage materials.
• Perform routine maintenance checks and troubleshoot equipment within scope of knowledge.
• Assist finishing crew with straightening, shearing, stacking, and bundling operations.
• Assist maintenance and operators with preventive and breakdown maintenance as needed.
