Job summary

Gerdau in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Manufacturing Associate for the rolling mill to support material flow and finishing operations. You will operate overhead cranes and forklifts, perform daily checks, and follow safety procedures on a 12-hour rotating schedule including days, nights and two weekends per month.

Starting pay is $23.70 per hour with a raise to $24.70 after training, plus bonus opportunity and benefits from day one.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of industrial or manufacturing experience operating an overhead crane and forklift.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Willing to work a 12-hour rotating Dupont schedule, days, nights, and two weekends a month.
• Basic math skills, problem-solving, ability to multi-task.
• Must be detail-oriented and able to organize and prioritize.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate and manage flow of material through the rolling mill finishing department.
• Operate overhead crane and forklift to move and stage materials.
• Assist in changeovers and maintenance within safety regulations.
• Observe for product blemishes and report issues.
• Prepare and attach identification tags and maintain production records.
