Job summary

CMC is seeking a hands-on team member to support the Rolling Mill crew in day-to-day operations at our Knoxville, TN facility. You will learn product quality identification, operate the cooling bed, and assist with heat separation while prioritizing safety and efficient workflow.

You will communicate production issues, participate in housekeeping, and follow start-up/shutdown procedures across rotating shifts, which may include weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work as a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Must learn quickly, multitask, and follow safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Support the Rolling Mill crew with day-to-day operations.
• Identify bar quality issues and communicate them to the shift supervisor.
• Learn product quality identification, cooling bed operation, and heat separation.
• Work safely by following PPE rules and staying aware of hazards.
• Communicate production issues and needs to the team.
• Perform daily housekeeping in the work area and follow start-up/shutdown procedures.
