Job summary

CMC is seeking a manufacturing associate to support rolling mill operations in our Knoxville facility. The role requires teamwork, safety focus, and the ability to learn product quality processes including cooling bed operations and heat separation.

You will follow safety rules, operate with PPE, and communicate any production issues. Training is provided, with opportunities for advancement and competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Team player able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing setting
• Strong attention to safety rules and procedures
• Good communication with supervisors and team members
• Proficient with basic computer tasks and data entry
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and operate in varying conditions
• Willing to work overtime and on rotating shifts
• Learning mindset and multitasking ability

Responsibilities

• Support rolling mill operations and day-to-day production tasks
• Identify and report bar quality issues to the supervisor
• Learn product quality identification, cooling bed operation, and heat separation
• Follow safety rules and wear required PPE at all times
• Maintain a clean and safe work area and assist with housekeeping
• Communicate production issues promptly and accurately
• Understand start‑up, shutdown, and emergency procedures
