Job summary

Commercial Metals Company is seeking a Rolling Mill Maintenance Area Manager in Jacksonville, FL. The role involves leading maintenance teams, coordinating projects, and ensuring safe, efficient operation of rolling mill equipment.

You will supervise scheduling, budgeting, and execution of maintenance activities, while interacting with stakeholders to align scope and timing. Strong leadership and a background in industrial maintenance are essential.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years industrial maintenance experience preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years successful operational leadership experience preferred.
  • 2-year degree in related technical discipline required.
  • Interpret blueprints, drawings, and schematics.

What You'll Do
  • Strong scheduling, planning, organizing, problem solving, time managing, and prioritizing work skills
  • Excellent customer service including follow through, Time management, Planning/organization and prioritizing
  • Capable of managing multiple project designs, scopes, budgets, and installations
  • Skilled decision making to be able to handle the dynamic work scope
  • Work with the stakeholders from the start of each project to ensure you understand the project scope and vision
  • Anticipates maintenance expenditures and provides estimates to forecast and meet budgetary requirements
  • Experience managing people and budgets
  • Prepare accurate cost estimates, resulting in projects that operate on the budget established in the estimate
  • Drive continuous improvement; employee productivity, uptime improvements, lead time reductions
  • Keep maintenance abreast of shop equipment deficiencies and breakage Troubleshoot production problems to minimize downtime
  • Develop and deliver performance reviews and corrective action documentation
  • Facilitate the compensation planning, performance assessment and employee development planning processes
  • Procure supplies and spare parts to ensure effective and timely maintenance of equipment
What You'll Need
  • Interpret blueprints, drawings, and schematics
  • Operate a computer proficiently (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.)
  • Minimum 5 years industrial maintenance experience preferred
  • Minimum 5 years successful operational leadership experience preferred
  • Mentor and train team members on proper equipment use
  • Ability to work with the other Managers as a part of the Management Team
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask responsibilities daily
  • Ability to work flexible hours and be available as needed by the business
Your Education
  • 2-year degree in related technical discipline required
