Duininck Texas is hiring a seasonal, full-time roller operator to work on infrastructure projects across Texas and Oklahoma, including Randolph Air Force Base. You will operate rollers, read grade stakes with GPS/laser tools, and help ensure safety on site. Some travel and security clearance are required.

The role offers a strong benefits package and requires readiness to perform outdoor work in varying weather conditions. Experience with compaction and equipment maintenance is valued.

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass security clearance for Randolph AFB.

Responsibilities

• Safely operates roller to compress/compact dirt, aggregate, or blacktop.
• Reads grade stakes and works with grade checker, laser, or GPS.
• Controls speed/direction of roller for smooth grade/surface.
• Coordinate with crew using hand signals to ensure safety.
• Perform daily inspection and maintenance; report issues.
• Keep equipment clean and transport equipment as needed.
• Maintain orderliness and safety at jobsite.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Safely operates roller to compress/compact dirt, aggregate, or blacktop to achieve the specified grading and smooth surface.
• Reads grade stakes and works with grade checker, laser, or GPS to maintain grade.
• Determines speed and direction of roller based on knowledge of compressible material to achieve a smooth grade and/or surface.
• Works closely with other crew members using hand signals to coordinate work and ensure safety.
• Performs daily inspection and maintenance and ensures that roller is in safe, proper working order including fluid checks and proper lubrication.
• Reports to shop when roller needs maintenance and repair.
• Keeping equipment clean and preparing equipment for transport on flatbed when needed.
• Maintain orderliness, cleanliness and safety at jobsite.
• Follow Supervisor’s instructions closely.

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Understand basics of roller mechanicals.
• Knowledge of how to run a nuclear gauge and a PQI non-nuclear gauge.
• Understand and adhere to all safety regulations.
• Understand and adhere to the Personal Protection Equipment requirements.
• An unwavering focus on safety.

Work Environment/Physical Demands:

• Walk, bend, kneel, lift, stretch and sit.
• Work outside in all weather conditions.
• Effectively handle lifting of various objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Regularly work extended | overtime hours, outdoors and in a variety of weather conditions at all project locations.
• Travel is required.
