Job summary

Duininck is hiring a seasonal, full-time roller operator to support infrastructure projects across Texas and Oklahoma. You will operate rollers to create smooth grades for roads, run grade checks with lasers or GPS, and coordinate with crew members to ensure safety.

Travel to project sites, and pass security clearances as required at Randolph Air Force Base. The role offers strong benefits including health plans, PTO, housing or per diem, life insurance, short-term disability, PPE, and a 401K

Qualifications

• Understand basics of roller mechanicals.
• Knowledge of how to run a nuclear gauge and a PQI non-nuclear gauge.
• Understand and adhere to all safety regulations.
• OSHA aware and safety-focused.

Responsibilities

• Safely operates roller to compress/compact dirt, aggregate, or blacktop to achieve the specified grading and smooth surface.
• Reads grade stakes and works with grade checker, laser, or GPS to maintain grade.
• Determines speed and direction of roller based on knowledge of compressible material to achieve a smooth grade and/or surface.
• Works closely with other crew members using hand signals to coordinate work and ensure safety.
• Performs daily inspection and maintenance and ensures that roller is in safe, proper working order including fluid checks and proper lubrication.
• Reports to shop when roller needs maintenance and repair.
• Keeping equipment clean and preparing equipment for transport on flatbed when needed.
• Maintain orderliness, cleanliness and safety at jobsite.
• Follow Supervisor’s instructions closely.

Work Environment/Physical Demands:

• Travel is required.
