Mittera in Pineville, NC is seeking a Roll Tender to join our pressroom team. You will help ensure a continuous supply of roll paper stock and assist Press Operators to keep production running smoothly.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma or GED and 1–3 years of press experience. The role emphasizes attention to detail, safety, and the ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. This is a full-time, on-site position with competitive benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• 1–3 years of press experience preferred
• Able to read work instructions and memos
• Excellent communication with all levels of the organization
• Basic math and problem solving
• Able to follow written, oral, diagram or schedule instructions
• Work well under deadlines and in stressful situations
• Organized and self-motivated with minimal supervision
• Has basic computer skills

Responsibilities

• Verify roll inventory against job tickets
• Record roll weights and numbers
• Prep and stage rolls for splicer
• Move and hang rolls in splicer
• Check oil levels in units and refill
• Inspect overflow pans and clean as needed
• Hang plates on the press
• Assist in make-ready and web breaks
• Return paper to inventory after jobs
• Complete shift paperwork and maintain clean work areas
• Assist Lead Operator and train on press when possible
• Support continuous improvement processes
• Ensure production meets department goals and metrics
• Perform other duties as assigned
