Mittera Group Inc is seeking a Roll Tender to join our pressroom team in Pineville, NC. The Roll Tender will ensure a steady supply of roll paper to the press, prep and stage rolls, and support operators to maintain smooth production flow.

Responsibilities include inventory checks, log updates, routine maintenance tasks, and cooperation with Lead Operator to meet daily production goals. Candidates should be organized, detail‑oriented and able to work under deadlines.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years of press experience preferred.
• Ability to read work instructions and memos.
• Effective communications skills with all levels.
• Ability to perform basic math for measurements and problem solving.
• Ability to interpret written, oral, diagram, or scheduled instructions.
• Must work well under deadlines in stressful situations.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Verify roll inventory number against job ticket.
• Record roll numbers and weight on the roll log sheet.
• Prep rolls for splicer and stage rolls.
• Move rolls into position and hang rolls in splicer.
• Check oil levels in units twice per shift and fill as needed.
• Check overflow pans each shift; dump and clean as needed.
• Hang plates on the press.
• Assist with web press during make ready or web break.
