Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and manuals to obtain roll specifications.
• Inspect rolls/guides for conformance and adjust as needed.
• Rebuild guides and rolls; remove slag with tools.
• Disassemble/assemble mill stands and align new rolls.
• Set bolts to position rolls on mill stands; use wrenches.
• Grease mill stands and operate verification systems.
• Perform equipment changes and maintenance and cobble removal.
• Maintain consumable inventory and support mill changeovers.
• Follow PPE and safety rules; communicate by radio/hand signals.
