Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking a full-time driver to safely operate roll-off trucks and hydraulic systems along a local route in Hope Mills, NC.

You will perform daily inspections, ensure timely pickups and drop-offs, and maintain professional interactions with customers. The role requires a valid CDL, at least one year of driving experience or completion of CDL training, and the ability to handle physical tasks and paperwork.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL in good standing and clean driving record.
• 1+ year of commercial driving experience or completed CDL training program.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to operate heavy truck machinery and perform basic inspection logs/route reports.

• Drive & Deliver: operate roll-off trucks and hydraulic hoists to haul, drop off, and pick up waste containers.
• Safety First: conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report issues.
• Customer Champion: represent GFL with a professional demeanor to customers along your route.
• Precision Operations: navigate traffic and weather, keep cab and equipment clean and maintained.
• Team Player: collaborate with dispatch, supervisors, and branch management to streamline routes and attend safety briefings.

• Safety First: Conduct thorough daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, maintaining route quality and reporting mechanical needs or route hazards immediately.
• Customer Champion: Represent GFL with a professional demeanor, delivering friendly and dependable service to every customer along your route.
• Precision Operations: Navigate diverse traffic conditions, tight maneuvers, and varied weather with care, keeping cab and equipment clean and well-maintained.
• Team Player: Collaborate closely with dispatch, supervisors, and branch management to streamline routes, attend safety briefings, and support fellow drivers.

Qualifications & Requirements

• License: Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) in good standing.
• Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of commercial driving experience or completion of an accredited CDL training program.
• Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Capabilities: Ability to operate heavy truck machinery, perform basic written paperwork (inspection logs/route reports), and meet physical demands (lifting, climbing, stooping, and driving up to 75% of your shift).
