Job summary

Ecotech Hydro Excavation seeks a Roll Off & Tanker Driver to safely operate trucks delivering waste transportation services for residential and commercial Clients. Qualifications

  • Valid Class B CDL required; Class A CDL required for tractor-trailer operations.
  • Tanker (N) endorsement required.
  • Hazmat (H) endorsement preferred; required if transporting regulated hazardous materials.
  • OSHA 40 HAZWOPER and OSHA 10 Construction preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire.
  • Prior experience operating commercial vehicles.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate roll off and tanker trucks in residential, commercial, and high-traffic environments.
  • Complete assigned routes and tasks efficiently while delivering high-quality Client service.
  • Transport materials and waste in accordance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.

Position Summary

The Roll Off & Tanker Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of roll off and tanker trucks to support waste transportation services for residential and commercial Clients. This role includes navigating a variety of job site conditions, performing routine inspections, and ensuring timely, high-quality service delivery. The Driver is expected to operate equipment safely, maintain compliance with all regulations, and represent the company professionally in all Client interactions. This position requires regular outdoor work in varying conditions and the ability to work flexible hours, including overtime and emergency response as needed.

Operations & Field Execution
  • Safely operate roll off and tanker trucks in residential, commercial, and high-traffic environments, including congested roadways, job sites, and confined areas.
  • Complete assigned routes and tasks efficiently while delivering high-quality Client service.
  • Transport materials and waste in accordance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on assigned vehicles and equipment.
  • Maintain cleanliness and overall appearance of assigned vehicles to company standards.
  • Identify and report mechanical or operational issues to management in a timely manner.
  • Accurately complete work orders, time entries, and required documentation.

Experience & Certifications
  • Prior experience operating commercial vehicles.
  • Valid Class B CDL required; Class A CDL required for any tractor-trailer operations.
  • Tanker (N) endorsement required.
  • Hazmat (H) endorsement preferred; required if transporting regulated hazardous materials.
  • OSHA 40 HAZWOPER and OSHA 10 Construction preferred or wiliness to obtain upon hire.
Technical & Safety Competence
  • Strong understanding of safe driving practices and regulatory compliance.
  • Mechanical aptitude with ability to identify and assist in troubleshooting minor equipment issues.
  • Basic computer skills for time entry and work order completion.
  • Must consent to background checks, drug screenings, and project vetting requirements.

Physical Requirements
  • Regular outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
  • Perform physically demanding work including frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of equipment and materials up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and work in awkward or confined spaces for extended periods and on uneven terrain.
  • Ability to climb ladders and work at heights as required by assignment.
  • Ability to wear required PPE for the duration of each assignment, including safety vest, hard hat, steel-toed boots, gloves, and respiratory protection as required.
