Job summary

McElroy Metal in Bossier City, LA is seeking a Machine Operator to run the roll forming line, check quality, and ensure efficient production. The role reports to the Production Manager and works with shift leads to meet daily targets.

The position requires basic math and tool handling; training is provided. Full-time hours are 7:00 am – 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with shifts potentially changing based on production needs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to use basic measuring tools and hand tools.
• Experience with roll forming or metal fabrication is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret product work orders.
• Perform quality checks and complete daily quality checklist.
• Set up, operate and maintain the roll forming line for maximum uptime and minimal scrap.
• Make adjustments to the roll former to produce required profiles.
• Coordinate with coil and packaging areas for proper material handling and labeling.
• Interface with the machine controller to monitor order details (quantity, length, color, etc.).
• Complete line coil usage and production reports.
