Job summary

Capital Health in Pennington, NJ seeks a Release of Information (ROI) supervisor to oversee daily ROI operations, ensure compliant and timely disclosures, and support HIM leadership in coordinating projects.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent (associate/bachelor preferred), 3 years in an acute care HIM setting, and leadership experience; RHIT/RHIA preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong communication are essential. 40-hour work week with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Associate's or bachelor's degree in health information management preferred.
• Three years' experience in an acute care hospital HIM department.
• One year in leadership or supervisory capacity experience preferred.
• RHIT/RHIA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Leads and prioritizes ROI workflow to assure accurate and timely ROI operations.
• Responsible for staff training, scheduling, conflict resolution, performance evaluations and assists HIM leadership in identifying career advancement opportunities.
• Facilitates resolution of complex ROI issues with patients, providers, attorneys, payers, law enforcement, and internal departments.
• Monitors ROI performance metrics for continuous improvement in timely and accurate processing of ROI requests.
• Maintains knowledge of current privacy regulations and communicates department updates to staff as needed.
• Represents hospital and ROI in interdisciplinary committees to provide ROI subject matter expertise.

Education

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management
