Job Description
The rodent health technician supports animal health and welfare to aid AbbVie's pipeline by providing animal health care for rodents under the supervision of the Veterinary Technician Manager and Veterinarian. Responsibilities include treatments, observations, preventative medicine, surgical and anesthesia support, and study-directed activities. The technician communicates with investigators and other stakeholders and works autonomously on weekends and holidays. The role also involves contributing to projects within the Comparative Medicine department, maintaining regulatory compliance, and ensuring animal care standards are met.
