Job summary

Relativity Space in Long Beach, CA is seeking a design engineer for the Structures and Mechanisms team to design parts, assemblies, and systems for Terran R from concept through release. You will manage BOMs, release drawings, and support manufacturability on the factory floor using NX and PLM processes.

You should have 2+ years in design engineering, a Bachelor's in engineering, and CAD experience (NX/CATIA/Creo/SolidWorks).

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a design engineering role.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related discipline.
• Experience with CAD packages such as NX, CATIA, Creo, or SOLIDWORKS.
• Fundamental knowledge of structures strength, stability and fatigue failure mechanisms.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop parts, assemblies, and systems from concept through release.
• Coordinate with manufacturing to ensure parts are manufacturable and properly documented in PLM.
• Create and release drawings, manage BOMs, and support packaging and tolerancing analyses.
• Lead projects to completion with self-motivation in a fast-paced environment.
