Job summary

L3Harris is seeking an experienced Specialist, Project and Component Engineer for our Missile Solutions facility in Canoga Park, CA. You will execute multiple phases of pressurant and propellant components and collaborate with engineering, operations, quality, and supply chain to deliver on defense programs.

This role requires a Bachelor’s Degree with 4+ years of experience (or Graduate Degree with 2+ years, or 8+ years without a degree) and the ability to obtain a US security clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant engineering experience.
• Graduate Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related engineering experience.
• In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Determine approaches to objectives applying engineering principles.
• Support production and fabrication of rocket engine components.
• Coordinate with project teams to deliver on time and within budget.
• Analyze and verify product design and performance; resolve hardware/process issues.
• Coordinate with SMEs and multiple engineering disciplines on specs and test plans.
• Occasional up to 10% travel to suppliers and production sites.
• Extended hours may be required to meet objectives.
