Job summary

Anduril Industries in McHenry, MS is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer for Rocket Motor Systems to own supplier quality across the motor BOM, embedded with RMS engineering, manufacturing, and programs, providing a single point of accountability.

You will lead containment for escapes, drive SCARs, PPAP, AS9102, and supplier development plans, travel up to 50% to supplier sites, partner with design engineering for DFM/DFI, and ensure compliance with AS9100/ISO 9001.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, materials science, chemistry, or related technical discipline.
• 5+ years of supplier quality engineering experience in aerospace, defense, or propulsion manufacturing.
• Experience scaling supplier quality from development to full-rate production.
• Working knowledge of AS9100/ISO 9001 and supplier audits.
• Proficiency with AS9102, PPAP, APQP, FMEA, and MSA.
• Ability to lead root cause investigations and corrective actions.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% to supplier facilities and on-site in MS.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain DoD security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the dedicated supplier quality focal for Rocket Motor Systems at the McHenry facility.
• Lead containment and triage for supplier quality escapes and disruptions.
• Own the supplier corrective action lifecycle and present status to the RMS CAR Board monthly.
• Develop supplier quality development plans aligned to critical RMS suppliers.
• Conduct regular supplier site visits and host suppliers on-site to review requirements.
• Collaborate with design engineering on DFM/DFI feedback before PO placement.
• Drive supplier qualification activities including AS9102, PPAP, MSA, and process capability studies.
• Support MRB disposition with risk context and trends feeding development priorities.
• Audit supplier quality management systems against AS9100 and RMS requirements.
