Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Manufacturing Technician C at the Stennis Space Center in Mississippi to support the assembly, testing and delivery of rocket engines and components. You will work with technicians and quality assurance personnel to ensure proper test preparation, execution, and post-test processing.

The role requires knowledge of mechanical systems, ability to read engineering drawings, and experience with NDT equipment and lifting devices.

Qualifications

Requires High School Diploma or equivalent with 6+ years relevant experience or 2-year degree with 2+ years related experience.
Demonstrated ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions.
Experience with mechanical systems and testing equipment is essential.
Willingness to travel up to 10% and work various shifts including weekends.

Responsibilities

Support assembly, testing, and delivery of large rocket engines and components.
Prepare engines for test and perform post-test processing.
Collaborate with technicians, QA, and customers to ensure quality and on-time delivery.
Follow detailed processes for operation and maintenance of test facilities.
Obtain and maintain required safety certifications and secure PRP if needed.
Operate material handling equipment safely per procedures.
Read and follow engineering drawings and work instructions.
