Blue Origin in Huntsville, AL seeks a Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead the rocket engine assembly manufacturing team. You will translate engineering intent into actionable shop-floor processes, define work instructions, and drive quality, cost reduction, and build sequence optimization at high production rates.

You will collaborate with peers to set goals, develop career paths, and manage roles and accountability, ensuring safe and repeatable spaceflight.

Formación

• BS degree from an accredited university in a relevant engineering discipline (MS preferred).
• 8+ years direct manufacturing and manufacturing engineering experience supporting assemblies and pressurized systems.
• Strong fundamentals in mechanical design and manufacturing.
• Experience in hardware manufacturing including welding, cleaning, NDT, tight-tolerance assembly, instrumentation.
• Experience managing managers, direct reports, projects, or programs.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate with leadership to meet milestones for engine programs.
• Champion tooling, ergonomics, safety, and quality improvements in fabrication.
• Hire and build a strong manufacturing engineering team.
• Lead the team to apply engineering fundamentals to ensure high-quality manufacturing.
• Develop and implement manufacturing processes, work instructions, and schedules.
• Perform root cause analyses and deploy corrective actions.
• Interface with suppliers and partners to ensure on-time, in-budget delivery.
• Lead DFm and PFMEA studies to strengthen design-to-build feedback.
