Job summary

Ymca Of Central Maryland, Inc. is seeking a Rockwall Lead to supervise and develop climbing programs for both adults and youth at our Arnold center.

The role focuses on delivering quality experiences, engaging members, and ensuring smooth operation of climbing activities and facilities. You will support onboarding of new Associates, mentor staff, and collaborate with center leadership to coordinate facility usage.

Responsibilities

• Lead adult and youth climbing at center

• Foster an environment that is positive and motivating to families, children, and peers
• Communicate with center leadership and Rockwall Coordinator to effectively coordinate and communicate facility usage for assigned programs
• Ensure programs are staffed and planned accordingly
• Organize closet and keep inventory of rockwall equipment
• Print class rosters for Rockwall Instructors
• Promote team & classes
• Incorporate the four character values of the Y: Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility and adhere to the YCM Code of Conduct
• Communicate the Y mission and objectives to the community
• Attend and actively participate in all meetings as assigned
• Enforce all policies and procedures
• Assist in all other areas as assigned

Job description

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the Rockwall Coordinator, the Rockwall Lead is responsible for providing Cause-Driven management and operations focused around climbing. This position will include associate supervision, program development, program area facility management/maintenance, program optimization and fulfillment. The Rockwall Lead is also responsible for supporting, training, supervising, and leading their associate team in superior levels of member service and engagement.
