Job summary

Rock & Brews is seeking a Cook 2 in Kentucky. Starting at $16.64 per hour with the flexibility to work various shifts. You will maintain food quality standards and ensure guest satisfaction while following company recipes and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities include cooking using multiple methods, maintaining a sanitary kitchen, and assisting other culinary team members. Enrollment in ServSafe is required within 90 days, with potential for growth and a sign-on bonus of up to $1,500.

Qualifications

• Intermediate culinary skills required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; six months of related experience required.
• Ability to obtain ServSafe certification within 90 days.
• Ability to use basic math including fractions.
• Ability to maintain discretion with confidential information.
• Ability to interact with guests and team members professionally.
• Ability to work irregular hours and extended shifts including late nights, early mornings, weekends and holidays.

• Prepare menu items using griddle, flat top, fry, pressure fryer, and/or tempura cooking methods.
• Use and clean kitchen surfaces, equipment, and utensils safely.
• Ensure a safe, sanitary, and organized working environment.
• Learn to perform skilled kitchen and cooking duties and assist other culinary team members.
• Assist in storing and rotating inventories as needed.
• Perform opening and closing duties as needed.
• Work at other kitchens/venues as assigned based on business needs.
• Perform duties in compliance with departmental policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential Functions)

• *Perform intermediate food preparation and cooking duties, including but not limited to following company recipes, breading and marinating ingredients for use; preparing desserts, appetizers, and hot foods; and seasoning and cooking meats, fish, and vegetables.
• *Prepare menu items and dishes using griddle, flat top, fry, pressure fryer, and/or tempura cooking methods.
• *Use and clean kitchen surfaces, equipment, and utensils including but not limited to ovens, grills, fryers, pressure fryers, broilers, and knives safely.
• *Ensure a safe, sanitary, and organized working environment, working closely with dishwashers, and Cook 1 at all times.
• Learn to perform skilled kitchen and cooking duties and assist other members of the culinary team.
• Assist in storing and rotating of all inventories as needed.
• Perform opening and closing duties as needed.
• Work at other kitchens/venues as assigned, based on business needs and to gain knowledge.
• Perform job duties in full compliance with departmental Internal Controls, policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

• The ability to demonstrate intermediate culinary skills is required.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Six months of related experience is required.
• The ability to successfully achieve ServSafe certification within 90 days.
• The ability to use basic math skills including adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing, and counting using whole numbers and fractions.
• The ability to maintain discretion in handling confidential information.
• The ability to interact with guests and team members professionally.
• The ability to work irregular hours and extended shifts including late nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
• While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to talk, hear, stand, sit, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and move freely throughout the property for prolonged periods of time in a physically demanding, fast-paced environment. The team member is frequently required to use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms. The team member will be required to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects up to 25 pounds on a regular basis and up to 50 pounds occasionally,
