Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced Estimating Leader for our Rochester, MN operation. The role oversees the estimating team, drives strategy, and coordinates with suppliers and project teams on HVAC and piping estimates for projects of varying size.

The candidate will establish standards, lead bid efforts, and manage estimating software and data. relocation is required & offered; strong leadership and technical background are essential.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of mechanical HVAC and piping estimating experience.
• 10+ years of knowledge of corporate objectives impacting estimating, estimating strategies and techniques, and construction contracts.
• 10+ years using industry-standard estimating and takeoff software.
• 5+ years leading, coaching, and mentoring an estimating team.
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related technical field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Establish standardized procedures, methods, and processes for estimating and set standards for all future estimates.
• Oversee the estimation process and coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors.
• Lead pre-bid strategy meetings and manage bid opportunities in the region.
• Administer estimating systems, software upgrades, training, and pricing updates.
• Manage the division estimating team; recruit, train, develop, and mentor.
