Job summary

Jobot is seeking an MEP Estimator to support our Rochester, MN operations. This backfill role focuses on pure estimating within commercial mechanical systems, spanning sheet metal, piping, and plumbing, with exposure to multi-office collaboration.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of pure estimating in commercial MEP environments.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems: sheet metal, piping, plumbing.
• Experience on projects ranging from several million to $100M.
• Background in a commercial mechanical contractor environment preferred.
• Collaborative across offices and teams; attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial MEP projects (sheet metal, piping, plumbing).
• Analyze drawings, specs, and requirements to develop budgets.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners on bid strategy.
• Participate in multi-office estimating efforts.
• Mentor and support junior estimators.
• Improve estimating processes and tools.
