Job summary

Jobot is seeking a highly experienced Senior Estimator to lead the estimating department for large-scale mechanical HVAC and piping projects. You will establish standards, oversee bid and takeoff processes, and drive strategic initiatives with senior management.

Qualifications

10+ years of mechanical HVAC and piping estimating experience.
10+ years of knowledge of corporate objectives impacting estimating, estimating strategies, and contracts.
10+ years using industry-standard estimating and takeoff software.
5+ years leading, coaching, and mentoring an estimating team.
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related technical field preferred.

Responsibilities

Establish standardized estimating procedures, methods, and processes; oversee historical cost database and bid management.
Coordinate and lead pre-bid strategy meetings and KPI development.
Oversee and/or perform the estimation process with suppliers and subcontractors; prepare estimates.
Lead and mentor the estimating team; drive culture and safety initiatives.
Collaborate with project management to determine bid opportunities and close deals.
