Mind Robotics Inc. in Palo Alto is seeking a Software Engineer - Validation & Simulation to build test infrastructure, integrate simulation, and develop validation pipelines that let firmware, controls, and robot runtime teams move fast without risking hardware.

You will design automated test suites, validate firmware and runtime behavior in SIL environments, and collaborate with multiple engineering teams to ensure robust, repeatable validation across the product.

Qualifications

• Technical degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals with Python fluency and comfort in C/C++ or Rust for firmware debugging.
• Experience building validation, simulation, or test infrastructure for real physical systems.
• Ability to thrive in ambiguity, move fast, and understand the whole system end-to-end.

Responsibilities

• Design and build automated test suites validating firmware, controls, and runtime in software-in-the-loop environments.
• Integrate simulated inputs and dynamic models to stand in for real robot hardware.
• Own regression test infrastructure and tooling for analysis, failure triage, and coverage across teams.
• Collaborate to define testability requirements and translate real failures into repeatable tests.
• Drive validation burn-down during integration milestones and track issues to closure.
