Job summary

ABB is seeking a Robotics Territory Sales Manager to drive direct sales of full robotics systems, solutions, and services across manufacturing segments in a West Coast-focused territory (TX, NV, NM, CA, WA, OR) with North American support as needed.

The role reports to the Business Manager - Commercial and Operations and Travel is expected Tue-Thu, with a strong preference for a remote office location in TX or CA.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years in business development and closing large deals.
  • Automation, robotics or manufacturing sales experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong relationship-building and solution-selling abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Determine account and acquisition plans to support growth.
  • Promotes value add service product offerings.
  • Achieves service sales volume by ensuring entire service portfolio is sold.
  • Ensure setting, periodic reviewing, and achievement of service sales targets by providing cost effective solutions to the customers and initiating improvement plans as needed.
  • Analyzes service market potential and ensures proper customer relationship management.
  • Establish long-term relationships with key customers and decision makers by understanding their requirements and relevant regulations and by exhibiting high level of expertise in technical solutions and products.
  • Responsible for feedback on sales development, distribution of resources for service sales activities, and reporting current market status.
  • Monitors client’s financial status and reports any changes regarding risk to relevant internal partner teams.

This Position reports to:

Robotics Territory Sales Manager

This role is responsible for direct sales of full robotics systems, solutions and services to specific industry segments involved in manufacturing. This role will support a territory focused on the West Coast (TX, NV, NM, CA, WA, OR) with additional support across North America as needed.

Travel is expected Tuesday-Thursday with strong preference to remote office location in either TX or CA.

Core Responsibilities

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree and 5 or more years proven experience in strong business development, sales and closing of multiple large deals.
  • Automation, robotics or manufacturing sales expertise strongly preferred.
  • Strong relationship building and solution selling to all audiences.
  • Knowledge of industry, strong work ethic, problem solving and presentations skills.
  • Self-motivated and ability to manage time effectively.

While base salary is determined by things such as the successful applicant’s qualifications and experience, this position is expected to pay between $100k and $150k annually and is bonus eligible.
