Job summary

ABB Inc. in Albuquerque, NM is seeking a process/controls engineer to optimize production assembly methods and equipment. You will design, test, and implement control systems and automation to reduce labor hours while upholding quality, safety, and cost targets.

This onsite role requires flexibility across three shifts and work authorization in the US. You will collaborate with manufacturing and other engineering disciplines to improve equipment performance and introduce new technologies.

Qualifications

  • BS degree in Engineering; 5+ years in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with control systems, robotics, and automation.
  • Experience with ABB robotics preferred.
  • Experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to coordinate several projects.
  • Must be able to work across three shifts when necessary.
  • Candidates must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.

As a member of the Engineering team, you will have the opportunity to optimize the Production organization's assembly methods, processes, and equipment to minimize labor hours in accordance with business strategies related to quality, efficiency, costs, and safety.

The work model for this role is onsite (#LI-Onsite) in our Albuquerque, NM manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities
