Job summary

Wilbert Inc. in North Carolina is hiring a Robotics Technician to program, troubleshoot, and maintain robotic cells in thermoforming and plastics manufacturing. You will support safety, quality, productivity and continuous improvement efforts across the facility.

The role requires hands-on automation experience, PLCs, sensors, and electrical systems, with preference for thermoforming background. You will work with Maintenance, Engineering, Tooling, and Production teams, and training operators on

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor degree in robotics, automation, electronics, or engineering technology.
• Minimum 2 years in industrial automation, robotics, or manufacturing equipment maintenance.
• Experience with PLCs, sensors, and electrical systems.
• Thermoforming manufacturing experience is strongly preferred.
• Experience reading electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Program, troubleshoot, and maintain robotic systems in injection molding, thermoforming, and secondary operations.
• Assist in the design, implementation, and optimization of automated work cells supporting production.
• Analyze robotic and automation-related issues and participate in root cause analysis and corrective action activities.
• Provide input for fixture, tooling, and end‑of‑arm tooling design for new and existing programs.
• Identify and implement modifications that improve safety, quality, productivity, and overall manufacturing performance.
