Job summary

Tenneco Inc. in Angola, IN is seeking an experienced Robotics Technician for the NVH facility. You will program robots, troubleshoot PLC interfaces, and collaborate with Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, and Production to keep cells safe, productive, and up to quality standards.

You’ll work on FANUC/Yaskawa/Motoman robots, diagnose alarms, and support tooling, vision, sensors, and safety systems while advancing continuous improvement and problem-solving across shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required or equivalent.
• Robotics/automation training or hands-on experience is preferred.
• 3+ years of industrial robotics or automation experience is preferred; strong programming/troubleshooting skills are valued.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for robotic welding, material-handling, machine-tending, and automated assembly cells with safety, quality, and uptime as priorities.
• Perform shift-wide troubleshooting of ladder logic and PLC faults.
• Diagnose robot alarms and cell faults, safely recover equipment, and identify root causes of repeated stops or mis-sequencing.
• Improve cycle time, reliability, and repeatability; perform robot preventive maintenance and support launches and prove-outs.
