Job summary

SaidGig in San Francisco is hiring a full-time robotics software/hardware engineer to bring up intelligent robotic platforms, integrate sensors, and develop reliable teleoperation and data pipelines. You will work with researchers to prototype and deploy capabilities across lab and remote deployments.

The role requires deep ROS 2 experience, strong Python/C++ skills, and a background in real-time video streaming and sensor integration.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Python and C++ with ROS 2 experience.
• Hands-on experience with teleoperation systems and real-time video streaming.
• Strong debugging skills across hardware, software, networking, and embedded systems.

Responsibilities

• Bring up, integrate, and maintain humanoids, robotic manipulators, mobile robots, and end effectors.
• Build and maintain integrations with ROS 2, hardware SDKs, and control interfaces.
• Develop pipelines for multimodal sensor data collection (RGB, depth, IMU, force/torque).
• Design low-latency teleoperation systems and reliable video streaming."
• Calibrate and synchronize cameras and sensors across platforms.
• Troubleshoot hardware, networking, and lab deployments; support fleet operations.
• Improve tooling and documentation to accelerate research velocity.
• Collaborate with researchers to prototype and iterate capabilities.
