Job summary

The role involves evaluating patients preoperatively, educating families, managing IV therapy and preoperative medications, and ensuring adherence to universal protocols.

Qualifications

• RN with an active license and relevant perioperative experience.
• BLS certification or equivalent required within 30 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate surgical patients and coordinate perioperative care.
• Educate patients and families about perioperative procedures and processes.
• Prepare patients, administer preoperative medications, and verify surgical sites.
• Participate in surgical site verification and universal protocols.
• Diligently monitor patient condition and document changes throughout shift.
