Job summary

Desert Research Institute is hiring four part-time Education Interns to work in Northern Nevada up to 12 hours per week during the 2026-2027 school year. You will earn certifications and gain hands-on experience with classroom drones and robotics as you support teacher training and STEM outreach activities.

The role emphasizes flexible scheduling, opportunities to participate in competitions, and collaboration with experienced educators. Prior study in education or related fields is preferred.

Qualifications

• Full-time college student status.
• Preferred: education or human development major.
• Prior experience in educational settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Earn certifications and become proficient with educational drones and robots for classroom use.
• Support robotics and drone teacher training workshops.
• Work at robotics and drone competitions.
• Provide STEM activities at community outreach events.
• Assist with the maintenance of the Robot and Drone Lending Library.
• Participate in special projects as assigned.
