Job summary

RoboForce is an AI robotics company developing Physical AI–powered Robo-Labor for dull, dirty, and dangerous work. A Robotics Software Engineer will build production-grade software powering robot behavior in real-world environments, focusing on autonomy, perception, planning, and controls for deployed robots in outdoor settings.

You will write production C++ and Python, integrate systems, validate features on hardware, and contribute to tooling, testing, and release quality.

Qualifications

• Education: B.S. or M.S. in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience: 2+ years in robotics, autonomous vehicles, drones or complex embedded systems with field deployment.
• Programming: strong C++ and Python, production-grade software development for robot systems.
• Robotics fundamentals: perception, motion planning, controls, localization, or system integration.
• Linux: comfortable with Linux development, tooling, scripting, and debugging.

Responsibilities

• Robotics Software Development: design, implement, maintain production software for robotic systems in C++ and Python.
• System Integration: refine capabilities across perception, planning, controls, teleoperation, and platform software.
• Robustness & Reliability: improve testing, validation, fault handling, performance, and edge-case analysis.
• Debugging & RCA: investigate failures across software, sensors, networking, timing, and hardware interfaces.
• Tooling & Infrastructure: build internal tools to improve velocity, testing, observability, and release quality.
• On-Robot Validation: validate features with hardware and test real-world robot behavior.
