RoboForce is seeking a Robotics Software Engineer to design and implement production-grade software powering real-world robot behavior. You will develop, integrate, and refine autonomy, perception, planning, and developer infrastructure for robots deployed in challenging outdoor environments.

In this hands-on role you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, validate features on hardware, and deliver reliable software that improves fleet performance.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in robotics, CS, or related field.
• 2+ years in robotics or embedded systems with hardware deployment.
• Proficient in C++ and Python for production code.
• Experience in Linux development and debugging.
• Strong collaboration and in-office work five days a week.

Responsibilities

• Robotics Software Development: Design, implement, and maintain production software for real-world robotic systems using C++ and Python.
• System Integration: Integrate and refine robotics capabilities across perception, planning, controls, teleoperation, and platform software.
• Robustness & Reliability Engineering: Improve software quality through testing, validation, fault handling, performance tuning, and edge-case analysis.
• Debugging & Root Cause Analysis: Investigate complex failures across software, sensors, networking, timing, and hardware interfaces, and drive issues to resolution.
• Tooling & Infrastructure: Build internal tools, scripts, and workflows that improve developer velocity, testing efficiency, observability, and release quality across the robotics software stack.
• On-Robot Validation: Work directly with hardware to validate new features, evaluate system behavior, and iterate quickly between development and real-world testing.
